Teacher Training

The world is proceeding at an ever greater pace and the standards of teacher training are likewise gaining in momentum. Recent ministerial reforms in Vietnam as well as market demands are propelling our motivation and efforts to adequately address the appropriate responses and requirements. Our long-term objectives necessitate that we provide schools and teachers with continued training. Monitoring the current problems enables us to effectuate solutions with far-reaching consequences.

Compass Education hosts district-wide teacher training workshops in and around HCMC and these have been very interactive, informative occasions and a good time has been had by all. It brings an opportunity for both Vietnamese and native English teachers to interact and build effective teamwork as well as gain insights and teaching techniques to practice and discuss for future implementation, which is often done in unison. There is hands-on practice during this enjoyable training. Often, new unexpected combinations emerge. Ultimately, the workshops empower teachers with useful skills, techniques and ideas to enrich the classroom setting and thus implant their inspirations into their students’ learning.

We discuss with the teachers individually with regard to their needs, including available resources and student issues. Identifying teachers’ strengths and weaknesses enables us to tailor and shape the programs according to the contingent circumstances. Flexibility is also a feature of the training programs themselves. They can range from 1-day seminars to 2-6 month part-time training programs. The scope of this mission has inevitably brought a variety of training ideas from a whole gamut of professional teacher and trainer expertise.
